Style of play: Clans of Azur'Haran is a combat and roleplay heavy campaign, with engaging difficult combat in session, roleplay between characters, and text roleplay between sessions as an additional (pc to pc, pc to npc). The campaign uses homebrew monsters and items, most of the players use homebrew classes as well, and it has a heavy focus on plot and character development as well as exploration and discovering the rich history and lore in its homebrew world of Azur'Haran.
Ideal player: invested in the world and the lore, enjoys roleplay and combat, and enjoys moral complexity and deep storylines.
Campaign premise: The Land of Azur'Haran was once a land of spiritual clans dedicated to spirits they called the Azur. For thousands of years the Clans followed their ancient traditions and the will of the spirits, and all was well...until the Velym Empire attacked. The war continued until the Empire's God-Ruler Velymtide died under mysterious circumstances, and 7 of the original 13 clans remained standing. Some focused on fighting the remainder of the Empire's forces to the south, while others focused on rebuilding. The meeting beneath the sacred tree of the clans is approaching. There is great deal of anxiety in the air as the Azur have been more distant as of late, and many of the Clans Shamans warn of great danger ahead, of war and famine. The Clan leaders and Shamans hope the Elders beneath the tree hold some answers. Is there war on the horizon? Or is it something more sinister? Join the campaign and find out!
We use Roll20 for maps, D&D Beyond or Roll20 for Character Sheets and Discord for Voice and text communication. We use the 5e 2014 rules.
