Hello, I'm "Yeku", 24 year old living over by the Rocky Mountains (MDT).
Player Overview: While I am new I have read a vast majority of the players handbook, have also looked at the official unearth arcana releases. I've run some mock up one shots and have an general idea of how abilities scores play into combat, roleplay/action encounters, spells/combat actions, ect. I also know how to fill out my own 5e character sheet.
Willing to random roll or pre-plan characters, join established groups who have lost players or start brand new. Willing to do mature plots and otherwise. 12-24 hours notice and some communication on what I'm jumping into is all I need to get started.
I have also touched briefly on the GM handbook so I know what you go through in trying to make and present a setting so I can better appreciate the work; and understand why and when a GM would need to bring their foot down on an ideas, actions, rules, exceptions, or concepts. I am very flexible to your settings; I can come up with a character for just about any world. I enjoy helping fill out some of the weaker spots in a team without it feeling like a burden, I also enjoy playing on that weakness and working around it creatively. I am not opposed to homebrew concepts or additions but I am not actively aiming to use any either unless supplied them.
I'm not going to cite the rules at every twist and turn, or spot check everything; but I will point out if something we haven't previously discussed and agreed on is off or incorrect to the core function of the action. Examples might include "Isn't that spell single target?", "Isn't that 2d6's not 2d4's?". I'll never say "You can't do that" that's not my place as a player, I know that's for the GM to decide, possibly with some group discussion.
Availability: I am currently unemployed at the time of posting this, taking training courses, but I am aiming for a 8-5 MDT job, so ideally times of 6:30pm until 11pm MDT on Monday to Thursday are ideal. I am willing to stay up later(1-2am) Friday's and Saturday's, or get up at the crack of dawn (5-6am) Saturday and Sunday, needless to say my weekends are open in the morning and afternoon. Since I don't have a job yet, I do have the opportunity to say I have obligations at certain times of the week if there's any conflicts to hopefully preserve the time slot or make absences infrequent.
Frequency: Weekly sessions are ideal, but I am willing to do bi-weekly and monthly as stated in the title.
What I want from the sessions: Long term. A scenario that is ongoing and has a living world; a place that isn't stagnant because our party isn't in town B, the world moves with or without us and is affected by us interacting with it. I'm not opposed to crushing difficulty but instead a challenging plot that risks death but isn't trying to outright murder the characters at every corner is ideal; death happens just, don't make me reroll characters every other encounter please? Player stories crossing or parallel with the over arching story like side quests to the main game are a golden star in my book, not required but greatly appreciated.
Throw me a message or respond to this thread if you're interested in having me on your campaign.
