A feat that boost dexterity might be the best option. If you're an Elf/Half-Elf you can take Elven Accuracy which is definitely one of the better feats.
There's a few good Half-ASI Feat options made available in Tasha's that you should look into. If you see a wisdom one that you like, it may be worth doing a +1/+1 now and grabbing that on your next ASI, but it depends on whether you think the game will go that long
Good half-ASI feat options for wisdom include fey touched or shadow touched, telepathic and telekenetic (although the push might not get a lot of play with your martial arts Bonus Action).
If you're an elf/half-elf, def take Freman's advice on Elven Accuracy to also Bump Dex. Otherwise Slasher or Piercer could be useful depending on your weapons, although they likely will not benifit your unarmed strikes.
I’m playing v human usually fight unarmed with Eldridge claw tattoo but I have a short sword when I need to change damage type. Piercer is a option I also considering weapon master to pick up a range attack longbow. Athletic feat is another option
Not a fan of athletic on a monk, especially if this is your level 8 ASI. The benefits (other than +1 dex) are very situational and at level 9 you can move along on vertical surfaces without falling if a DM said I still had half movement to climb I would feel severely cheated.
You haven't said your con, if that is odd I would go ASI +1Dex, +1Con.
Another feat I would look at is skill expert. For expertise I would probably go perception, having a very high perception means the party are rarely surprised and you can often avoid combat entirely just by avoiding the threat. Other options are stealth (if you are the sneaky type) or accrobatics (for crazy monk fun probably less powerful but more fun than the other options).
Con is 12 adding one point won’t do much help. I’m playing a shadow monk basically only stealthy and.melee member in party Only odd stats are strength (11)and charisma (9) Our cleric has a perception of 22 so it’s his time in spotlight when perception checks are needed acrobatic feat is good option but we’re not using any UA
..that extra +1 con bonus helps in the long run!!! But it'll depend on your play style and how often you get hit. No-one complains about having an extra 8 HP at level 8... it'll come down to what other options you are looking at.
Tough feat no stat increase but extra 16 health party tries to avoid combat but when combat happens I’m very aggressive using flurry of blows and stunning strikes

But increasing on from 12 to 13 doesn't give you a bonus. It does absolutely nothing unless you later take a half feat (or a split ASI with str or something) to increase it to 14.

Sorry , correct.. 12 to 13 bump gets no additional bonus. Wasn't referring to your character with the reference to +1

My dex is 19 and wis 16 I have several options
1 raise both by 1
2 raise wisdom by 2
3 take a feat that raises dex by 1

Agreed with Freman

I’m lending towards raising wisdom by 2 increase stunning strike chances but still have a few days to decide
