I am completely unsure of what system it uses, or if it was even a homebrew, but it was a campaign I started playing about a year ago or so. Sadly we only had one session and then the group sorta just disbanded. I was hoping there was at least someone out there who might have heard of it seeing how googling (Yes, I've been trying) has brought me with 0 results.
Like I said, it was a while ago, but I'll try to recall what I can.
It all started in a Tavern (of course). I was a twilight bard, whos spells and abilities were focused more around debuffing enemies and playing sonfs of despair for dmg dealing. We had a Zora, a Goron, and a Hylian as well.
On a rainy night, the tavern was overun with bokoblin, which we quickly dispatched. It was a sudden attack, leaving us unable to save everyone inside. After over looking the casualties, Hylian guards came rushing in to say the hero has died. His body was being hauled back in a wagin but bokoblins jumped the guards in mass and stole it.
From there our group set out to do what we can. I forget details after this point, but the session ended with us in ckmbat against an oddly powerful deku scrub. It controlled nature itself and was using the stridder spell to make it always faster than us.
Mechanically, the DM had a way in Roll20 to see what random loot was dropped. This ranged from rupees, heart containers, sticks, bombs, etc.
