I will create your character as a 3D digital sculpt that is 3D print-ready (.obj and .stl files) in any pose, with any outfit and weapons, and any floor base that you can think of.
I am starting this journey because I've always wanted 3D figurines of my main characters in certain MMOs and tabletop games. Not being satisfied with some miniature sites that let you choose from pre-made pieces and assemble them into something, I wanted something more custom so I decided to start doing it myself. Of course, no shade on those sites, they're awesome for what they provide! I think many others out there share this same feeling though; you are really attached to your characters and would love them standing on your computer desk or on your table at the next D&D session, exactly how you want them to look, down to the tiniest detail. Well this service is for you!
REQUIREMENTS
If you don't already have artwork of your character, then all I would need is some reference images of outfit stuff, accessories, hair styles, and body types and/or detailed text writeups and I could start working.
This would be an open-communication process; I would check in with you after major model progress such as the body finished, the outfit primary shapes done, the secondary details done, and so on, so you aren't left surprised at the end by something you don't like.
Any pose is doable as long as something is contacting the "ground". Any character is doable, I can do creatures and monsters too, (and honestly even if it's not lore-accurate to D&D stuff, that wouldn't bother me).
So really only your imagination is the limit!
Note: I am not ready to make separated-pieces style of print, such as having each limb separated or the upper and lower being separate pieces that fit together with pegs, a common strategy to enable printing larger models. I think it would be wise for me to wait until I have my own printer so I can learn and experiment with that workflow before I start doing it for others. In otherwords, the model I will make for you, instead, is a single, watertight sculpt.
As far as bases, some ideas that could be done are things like a circular stone platform, a square one, a base made of chipped bricks, one with a woven engraving ring around the edge, a tree stump, a mound of dirt with weapons sticking out of them, anything along these lines.
PRICE
EDIT: From July 1 to July 14 I am lowering the default price to $300! Now is the best time to get your character made if you've been thinking about it!
This is a highly subjective type of modeling job, some characters will take a few days while others could take multiple weeks; it just depends on the outfit complexity, the weapons if any, the hairstyle, things like that.
500$ is a good general base price to expect though, and this could go up or down depending on things mentioned above but that amount is based on the amount of hours it generally takes me to finish a character in Zbrush.
Payment methods: Paypal/Zelle/***** only. Partial or full payment is required before I start.
SIZE/MATERIAL
I am ONLY making a digital sculpt and delivering to you a .obj and .stl file (both are pretty universally used), and you would need to print it with your own printer, or use any of the common 3D printing website services out there where you choose your own options and have it shipped to your house. This of course means an extra payment you would be doing, outside of our commission, which varies wildly depending on your chosen size and material.
Unfortunately I don't yet have my own printer, and I don't think it would make sense to get your extra payment and address and stuff to order it for you then ship it to you, when you could do that part on your own :) Of course the ultimate goal is to obtain nice printers for my own so I can expand this idea, but I'm not there yet >_<
EXAMPLE SCULPT
Here is my latest character sculpt I recently completed to give you an idea of my skill level. (This is not a D&D character, it's my main character in Black Desert Online) Also If you would like to see my artstation you can find it here https://www.artstation.com/yuuva
I don't have any D&D-specific characters and models made yet, as I said before this is a brand new venture for me. But I have been a lifelong fan of fantasy, and I play D&D casually with my brother so I am by no means a stranger to this awesome universe!
These screenshots are from inside Zbrush, a sculpting program, and is not a real life miniature/statue (yet!). I will post pictures in this topic when she is finally made into a printed version, but for now, I wanted to show her so people can get an idea of my skillset and what kind of detail level I can hit.
Of course some things might need to be adjusted in outfits such as this, like thickening the chains if they would prove to be too fragile in the end, or fail to print properly, and some details inevitably might disappear if printing miniatures, this is to be expected, but I'd rather have the details there in case someone wants to print very large :)
FIXES AND ADJUSTMENTS
If for whatever reason your character is printed and some issue occurs, or something doesn't print correctly, I am willing to work with you to resolve it; this isn't a one-and-done type of deal, I will have open communication available with every one. It is important to maintain communication with me throughout the modeling process though to decide on major things along the way; It would be really painful to change a character's entire pose in the final stages, for example. (that would be very bad and take a lot of time to fix!)
But minor stuff like adjusting an outfit part or adding a spike to a pauldron, or changing the weapon angle, or turning the head, that kind of stuff is easier to accommodate so don't hesitate if you want a change like that towards the end, it's your special character and I want to get them right!

Thank you for reading this far, adventurer! I can answer any questions you might have, I will be active around here. Hope to hear from some of you soon!
Please forgive the question as I am unfamiliar with 3D printing. How big are these sculptures? Is it something that can be scaled up or down, or is it a base size?

No worries! I am not making physical sculptures myself, I'm making digital sculpt files (.obj and .stl format) which the buyer can print with their own 3D printer or send the files to any of the various websites that will print it and ship to you.
If you're printing it yourself, you would just tell me the size in millimeters/inches etc that you want and I can set the digital files to that size before giving them to you. If you are using a 3rd party website, then you choose your own desired size and materials on the site's checkout process. Hope this clears things up
