That's hilarious and not at all what I expected, lol.
The innkeeper Lewis makes potions in his spare time, and they've been stolen. Among the stolen wares is a potion of awakening and a potion of growth. He suspects the seemingly crazed rat-catcher he hired recently, called the Mad Ratter, but in truth they were stolen by a caterpillar! When this is discovered, he can provide the party with potions of shrinking (which are labeled "drink me") in order to enter the intelligent bug's den, where they can fight it as a giant centipede with various potion powers, such as increased strength and fire breathing.
Next up: A staircase climbing a mile into the clouds.
The top of the stairs serves like a bus stop but for floating castles. However, the top is guarded by the Tollman, a lawful neutral Giant who can detect the market value of all items within 30 ft of him. When you approach he demands 20% of the total gp worth of your gear. When asked he informs you this is due to "inflation" and "rising gas prices". You have to figure out what to give him, if you cheat him he kicks you off the stairs. Those who pay can board the next castle.
Next setting: A desert kingdom, the capital of which is a massive artifical forest maintain by its wizard-king.
I always like a monster that can kick someone off something tall.
A coalition of druids are trying to return the land to its natural state by destroying the artificial forest. They ride a purple wurm and cast desert spells like Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting, Dust Devil, and Blight. Their leader aims to be the only power the people rely on going forward, and uses Storm of Vengeance to destroy plant life.
Next up: Inside a perfectly normal pig pen on a farm.
Needs a little more detail of the abilities, but otherwise good.
A horde of tiny mimics resistant to cold damage have disguised themselves as various food items. Each one has different abilities depending on its form, for example a juice mimic could splash players with acid, while a grape bunch mimic could launch grapes at players.
Perfect for those survival campaigns where the party might be desperate enough to keep trying things, lol.
Oh! I get to directly rip off Jack Vance! Here is Morreion, master of the IOUN stones. Astride a disc formed of stardust and blood, the wizard sails ever onward to enact his revenge on some faraway foe. He will destroy anyone who gets in his way... But with each passing moment, more of his memory is absorbed into the stones, and with it, his rage. If the party can survive him long enough, he will become quite agreeable. At least until something jogs his memory.
Using the stones while they contain Morreion's fury might cause a user to take on his quest for vengeance. Likewise, using them empty could cause one's own motivations to be absorbed. Still, every wizard desires these stones, and would pay dearly for them, so they're worth taking just for the bargaining power.
Next up: The mirror realm, which is accessible by stepping through a magic mirror. The realm is a direct reflection of reality, but only the parts that are not reflected in any other mirrors.
A fractine with the ability to mirror player attacks. If you hit it and deal damage, it can use its reaction to do the same attack/spell on you, using its intelligence mod for spells or spell attacks and dexterity mod for weapon attacks. If it uses imprison and successfully affects a creature, an identical copy under the fractine’s control will appear, and the copy will disappear if it is reduced to 0 hit points or the imprisoned creature is no longer imprisoned. For flavor, all of these will look flipped sideways, as if reflected in a mirror.
Next: the stomach of an astral dreadnought.

- Someone once told me that it is possible to play an artificer without collateral damage. They were wrong. Without collateral damage, what is the point of playing an Artificer?
- Nothing solves a problem better than a little gnome power!

Nice boss with good flavor and rewards
