Are you interested in PF2e, but would like to start exploring the system in a setting and playing context that is more familiar?
This will be a homebrew conversion of a 2e AD&D Adventure (Halls of the High King by Ed Greenwood) using PF2e rules. (It will be an experiment, but with tight balancing in PF2e, it should be quite doable - also, we get to delve into a great old adventure in a part of Faerun which has not had much attention recently).
Character creation rules: 6th level. Free Archetype and Ancestry Paragon allowed. (Use https://2e.aonprd.com/ for reference).
If this is your first time building a PF2e character and you are coming from 5e, one suggestion: take your skills seriously, PF2e does - they are often more useful than spells!
2 Second level common permanent items, 1 third level common permanent item, 2 fourth level common permanent items, 1 fifth level common permanent item and 80gp
(An item enhanced by special materials or runes counts as two items for these purposes (the item and the material or the item and the rune)
- OR -
a lump sum of 450gp to be spent as you wish (with a maximum item level of 1 lower than the character’s level)
It will be PbP, so on going - usually posting at least once a day. Your character will be botted if left idle for several days without notice of player absence.
I am interested in trying PF. I’m a big glass cannon podcast fan so I’m at least somewhat familiar with PF and PF2.0.
Is it going to be played here in this forum?
Likely, yes, because I like the dice roller in chat here. Unless others have another idea (could do discord). Character sheets will likely be on wanderers guide.

I’m digging into character creation. Whew there’s a lot to learn with a lvl 6 character!

Yes. Take your time. No rush. I find that building a character is a great way to get into the intricacies of a system. Also, we can tweak things if "mistakes" were made in creation... This is as much for learning as it is for fun.

What does “free archetype” mean exactly? Do we ignore the stat requirements or do we still need to meet those prerequisites?
For the purposes of this adventure, I will allow you to use whatever additional archetype you would like to round out your character - as long as it makes sense to the character.
I am not sure if Demiplane supports the free archetype option. Wandersguide does - it is an option you can turn on under the first tab when editing your character sheet.

I am looking for a party of six.
Post a link to your character sheet on either Wanderersguide or Demiplane

I am very interested.

I would love how to learn pathfinder
I am interested, what are the time and day?
In equipping your characters either take:
2 Second level common permanent items, 1 third level common permanent item, 2 fourth level common permanent items, 1 fifth level common permanent item and 80gp
(An item enhanced by special materials or runes counts as two items for these purposes (the item and the material or the item and the rune)

Also, this adventure takes place partially at sea and then on the Moonshea Isles.

I will supplement the PbP theatre of the mind with battlemaps when appropriate.

Sounds great. I'm looking forward to trying out PF2.
Thanks for setting this up!

Essentially the same as DND non consumable magic items ( like +1 weapons, etc). In PF2e such items have level requirements to use.

Free archetype is almost a form of multiclassing. Here are the rules around it: https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=1333
