We just started playing a new campaign and I am playing a Lizardfolk (from Volo's Guide to Monsters) Revised Ranger.
Currently we are level 2, I have not chosen anything yet, I am using a Great Axe, because two weapon fighting seems like a bad choice with Lizardfolk bite attack.
For now, have I plan to choose the Hunter Conclave at level three and getting the Colossus Slayer from Hunter's Prey
Then I might multiclass into Barbarian, but I would love to have your take on this!
Depends from playstyle. I played with ranged weapon, so i choised Colossus slayer, it will make extra 1d8 from one attack on your turn. If you play at melee range, your choice is Giant Killer. Make high AC with armor or DEX, and try to counterattack. Horde Breaker looks good only at early lvls, then monsters usually will be Large or smth like this.

Giant Killer and Horde Breaker are great- situationally. I prefer Colossus Slayer for its broad application.

Extra damage is always good and colossus slayer may as well be an extra weapon attack. Not with a great axe but most weapons are d6 or d8 so...
Giant killer is rather limited in how often you can make use of it in a campaign.
Horde breaker has more use then GK but you may be opening your self up trying to keep enemies grouped.
