RAW, I'm already fairly certain that blinded creatures **don't** have disadvantage on their saving throws (just ability checks).
Since making a dex save at disadvantage makes at least logical sense (ie: not RAW) when blinded, I thought I'd post here in case I'm missing a rule that would make that happen.
For context, I'm considering a Shadow Magic sorcerer. Since they can create a bubble of darkness they can see within, I thought it would be fun to do that and then use the Sword Burst cantrip. I suppose my DM could ultimately just decide to apply disadvantage to my opponents save in that circumstance, but, like I said, I'm wondering if I'm missing any rules that already account for this.
(This isn't going to be his only gimmick. Just trying to select little-used spells for the fun of it.)
Blinded only affects ability checks and attack rolls (made both by the creature and against it). It doesn't affect any saves, just as invisible does not. These conditions and pseudo-conditions affect Dexterity saves:
As you can see, the general theme is that Dexterity saves are impacted by things that make it more difficult for you to move, but not by things that impede your senses. If you want a rule like this, Arcane Tricksters have one.

That makes a lot of sense! Thanks for sorting the info that way.
The search for an interesting use of Sword Burst goes on, lol...
