Hey guys, so in the campaign I have coming up, I have a world that the humanoids live in the sky(cities kept aloft by wizards) or if they are really brave they live on mountains, but I wanted to reasons to be that the animals and beasts on the ground are, for the most part, HUGE and would just trample and terrorise the people if they were on the ground.(haven't quite figured the why yet, but I thought it may be a spell gone wrong or that the humaniods aren't originally from that plane) I even thought there could be beasts the size of mountains that are rather placid since nothing can really hurt them. The inspiration was real life, how the bigger the fish the deeper water is they live in, while small ones go in the shallower water. However, I wanted to have hunting expeditions to the ground for larger beasts involved and I can't find any stats for beasts of the XXXL nature. Any suggestions on how I can fiddle with the stats of regular beasts to make them huge to gargantuan? I'm still pretty new to DMing, so if there is a formula to use, I would love to know about it.
A (non-PC) creature's Hit Die is determined by its size category: Tiny = d4, Small = d6, Medium = d8, Large = d10, Huge = d12, and Gargantuan = d20. A weapon made for a Large creature uses twice as many dice as the same weapon made for a Medium creature, a Huge weapon uses three times as many, and a Gargantuan weapon uses four times as many; you may be able to apply that to beasts' natural weapons.

Well I'm willing to let you borrow my Dragon goddess[Valesly the Green Dragon who is so large she creates her own dimensional plane, just a house. Her true form and when she pretends to be a human disguise she always keeps how her body in her dimensional plane still!] Dragon of the sky/air/the forest! I even can give you a description of her Dragon form, well at least the details:Mega Rayquaza Head with Gigantic deer antlers for the horns instead of the form sets the horns in the actual character model,Also arms are the same only with the complete five fingers, giant bat wings(thanks to her size. She actually gets six, three on the side.) Dragonair Complete tail at the end dark green! So long as you make sure the players know that they cannot win(also my green dragons have acid breath that comes out at both ends)

Sorry about how late this is, I had to take a break for a while to work on homework(final project and all that), but I wanted to say thankyou SShSean. Unfortunately, I dont think the dragon godess would fit with the world setting, but that does sound amazing. Another unfortunate thing is that most of my players dont do unwinnable situations, and I dont want a total party kill. Hopefully I can encourage them to deal with things in other ways, but most times they try diplomacy once and then just start hitting things. Haha. Again though, a serious thanks!
Good call. Good call, I mean one you do not hit something that you're literally flying on.(In more ways than one), and so she would totally kill the party probably without even noticing. Especially considering that the whole point of my Dragon god collection is that their God. You do not take them on, and yet I'm making a big bad Army that actually tries to take on the Dragon gods. A matter of fact one of their landmark battles of the bad guy Army is that they take on the Lady of the Lake, and basically saying hello, I'm to take on Poseidon when I'm not that amazing -looking soldier that somehow managed to travel all the way to to the temple island in God of war two. (I.e. I'm actually making the enemy party be the idiot who actually want to activate the apocalypse stone. The events)
