I have a lvl 1 barb that my wife is playing and her DDB character sheet shows Two-Weapon Fighting as an available bonus action. We cannot figure out where that is coming from considering that Two-Weapon Fighting is listed as a Fighting Style Feat that she doesn't currently have access to. Is the character sheet broken?
Edit: after further investigation, every single character made with the online character creator lists Two-Weapon Fighting as an available bonus action. What gives?
Two-Weapon Fighting is a thing that any character can do if they're holding two weapons. That's why it's shown on the character sheet as an option for everyone.
There happens to be a fighting style feat with the same name, but that's a different thing.
Gotcha. Pretty confusing, especially for a newbie. I wish there had been more forethought into that and the way the character sheet is laid out. Is there somewhere in the PHB that describes fighting with 2 weapons when you don't have the feat?

I agree, that particular item is not displayed or explained well on the online character sheet.
If you're using the 2014 Player's Handbook, two-weapon fighting is described in chapter 9 (the chapter on combat) under "Making an Attack".
In the 2024 Player's Handbook, these rules were moved to be included in the definition of the "Light" weapon property in chapter 6 (the chapter on equipment).
In both cases the rules are mostly the same if you don't have any feats or weapon masteries that apply. Basically, when you are holding a light weapon in each hand, and you use your action to attack with one of them, you can use your bonus action to make a second attack with the other one on the same turn. The second attack does less damage (you don't add your ability modifier to the damage roll).
It’s a throwback to 2014, when anyone with a light weapon could Two-Weapon Dual Wield two different light weapons. 2024 just moved the general concept from the 2014 combat section into the actual Light weapon Property.
Same functionality, different location, and all the fun stuff that comes with it.
