My question is, does casting Life Transference while under the effects of Beacon of Hope, (assuming no vulnerability or resistance to necrotic damage) heal 2x(4d8), or 64 hp?
Corrollary 1: If 64 hp, does the caster take 4d8 necrotic damage, or 32?
Filcat's ruling is consistent with most forms of vampiric healing.
Although Life Transference qualifies as healing, I would say that in this case there is no "maximum number of hit points possible" to regain. The number of hit points of healing is fixed by the amount of damage taken by the caster of Life Transference.
It's not really a question, however it's worth noting that a Death Domain Cleric's Improved Reaper feature will allow Life Transference to hit 2 nearby friends for healing. (At level 17...)
I agree with Filcat. The damage portion of Life Transference is a dice roll, but the healing is a standard number, based on a previous dice roll (the damage one). As such, when the healing happens, there's nothing to maximize.
Beacon of Hope among other things maximizes the healing of spells.
Life Transference heals based off of 2x(4d8) necrotic damage.

This is a good question.

In short, I would not apply Beacon of Hope.

Honestly just for the fun i'd do max damage on the roll so its max heal
