So i somewhat had this debate with my DM. Can you use misty step, to stand up, if you are trapped under something. I read you can use it to get out underneath, what you are trapped under. But he argues, you don't change the angle = laying down to standing up
There's nothing spell description that indicates being trapped under something prevents the caster from teleporting when casting misty step. Whether your body's position is the same or not is up to the DM. But it's not all that important since you're no longer trapped underneath something.

Unless the DM say you can't cast spells with verbal components while trapped under such thing, i don't see why you couldn't cast misty step to teleport away. You should still be prone after it as the condition is countered by standing up specifically, unless the DM rule otherwise.

It doesn't say anything about ending the Prone condition, so no if you're Prone when you cast it you'll be Prone at the end point.

Wizards often do perfectly fine while prone. People have disadvantage on you if they are more than 5 ft away and it does not affect saves.
