Reading the description of the Verdan race and their ever changing physiology when leveling I see that they mutate with every level as they grow so I was wondering if there was any sort of random mutation table for them somewhere. I've looked around but I can't seem to find anything specific regarding this and I don't really think I'm capable of making one myself.
It seems to mostly be a flavor thing, but I think it would be interesting to use it as a roleplay thing to have them "adapt" to their environment or adjust based on what they do more of. Like... if it's a character who uses the Fly spell regularly, maybe their ears grow larger and winglike... or if they've spent a lot of time in a swamp their skin could turn to a duller, neutral greenish brown. Maybe you could even use it as a storytelling tool... like if there's some malevolent force influencing the world maybe aspects of it start to manifest on their body, since they kind of absorb chaotic energy around them or are at least susceptible to its influence. For example, I'm running a party through Hoard of the Dragon Queen, and perhaps as Tiamat's power and influence grows it starts to cause their skin to discolor in the 5 colors of Tiamat.
