my sorcerer player wants to pick Suggestion spell. Our question is: The 30feet reach is this only for the casting or also for the duration of the spell.
Better asked: Can he use the spell an just leave as long as he is concentrated? Or does he has to stay in the 30 feet reach.
Unless the spell states otherwise, you only need to be in range for the initial cast. Certain spells will have it in their wording that you must remain within a certain distance for it to keep applying on subsequent turns.
If the spell doesn't have that caveat, you're golden :)

Hey Dice Rollers,
my sorcerer player wants to pick Suggestion spell. Our question is: The 30feet reach is this only for the casting or also for the duration of the spell.
Better asked: Can he use the spell an just leave as long as he is concentrated? Or does he has to stay in the 30 feet reach.
Thanks in Advance.
From the Player's Handbook, Chapter 10: Spellcasting, under Range:
"Once a spell is cast, its effects aren’t limited by its range, unless the spell’s description says otherwise."
Thank you!
