looked around a bit, and couldn't find an exact answer. But if a Ranger marks a target, can they track that target if they lose sight of it? Is the ability ranged based after being applied, IE could the ranger go outside of the 90 foot range and still have the target remained marked? If so, how well can they track it? Like could a character give a secondary character "specific" directions on where the marked target is?
You have advantage on Perception and Survival tracks to find it, but it’s not a GPS tracker, tracking it may still be impossible if there’s no signs left of its passage that you can realistically find.
You do not need to stay within 90 feet, or even on the same Plane, to keep the spell active for its duration.

I'm going to make this way harder than it needs to be.
The target remains marked until Hunter's mark ends (duration, dispel, etc).
You just get advantage on perception and survival checks to find it (like actual tracking: finding footprints, spotting movement, etc).
