As a newer DM, I have a player running a Warforged artificer. I dont want to target his character but what are some ways to affect him and make him feel less OP.
How is he OP? They get a +1 AC and don't need to eat, drink, breath, or sleep. None of that is game breaking. Artificers are balanced pretty well, too.
What problems are you having? If we know that, we can offer suggestions.
How are warforged viewed in the world you're DMing? They were things not that long ago - owned property, and meant to be disposed of. Most people probably don't have too high of an opinion of them - especially if they were on the receiving end of a battle with them. There's bound to be pretty high antipathy against them - think droids in SW, especially right after the clone wars.
Does the character have feelings? How are they RPing their 'awakening'? Do they want to be a real boy, or are they down with being a living weapon? Have them flesh out their story a bit, and then bang them on the head with plot holes.
Lastly - what are his dump stats? Everyone has one or two, and that's where a good DM goes (from time to time). You don't want to be an ass about it...

Its not that it is game breaking. I just want him to not feel like he is invincible. Im just asking how others handle them in their games.
Just tell him he isn't? Warforged does have a lot of cool traits, but hardly make you much harder to kill.
Have an enemy hit him with a sword. Or a magic missile. He'll take damage same as everyone else.
Also, there's plenty of RP material to work with.
