Please explain the rules for turning Meta Magic into Spells Slots, especially for getting spell slots for levels higher than 1st (I know it caps at 5th and you use the "Creating Spell Slots" table.
Do you convert all the Sorcery Points necessary to get the spell slot that you want, all at once, in one Bonus Action? (I think I made a couple of incorrect assumptions: that you convert the points, one at time and that you could use Sorcery Points to "Enhance" or turn a lower level spell slot into a higher level spell slot, without first converting everything back into Sorcery Points - in retrospect, I think both of those things are wrong, but I have still managed to confuse myself.)
If you want to have more higher level spell slots and fewer lower level slots, do you convert your first and maybe 2nd level spell slots to sorcery points, one slot per bonus action turn and then when you have enough sorcery points to buy the spell slot that you want, you spend all of the sorcery points necessary to buy the slot, in one bonus action?
Creating Spell Slots. You can transform unexpended sorcery points into one spell slot as a bonus action on your turn.
Converting a Spell Slot to Sorcery Points. As a bonus action on your turn, you can expend one spell slot and gain a number of sorcery points equal to the slot’s level.
Each bonus action you take lets you convert to or from a single spell slot.
Note that UA ended with the conversion of spell slots to sorcery points no longer requiring any kind of action (Sorcery Points to Spell Slots still required a BA). If that stays in for the release versions, then that's quite a bit of an improvement on the action economy there.

so what's the conversion rate? lvl one spell slot = one sorcery point? or one sorcery point = 1 of any spell lvl?
Unfortunately, no. There's a table for that: https://www.dndbeyond.com/classes/6-sorcerer#ClassFeatures
