So, as part of the homebrew collection I'm making, I'm creating a few new subclasses! I'll post some fluff or concept ideas about them in the thread, but here's what I have so far, and a brief splash of fluff to go with it!
ARTIFICER
Scavenger. Ooh, you'll take that off their hands!
BARBARIAN
Path of the Ruinous. You'll be the last one standing. Always.
BARD
College of Puppets. Your enemies will dance at the end of your strings.
CLERIC
Cold Domain. Harnessing the bitter bite of winter to freeze foes.
Luck Domain. Will and whimsy are yours to influence.
DRUID
Circle of the Elements. Hell hath no fury like the forces of nature.
FIGHTER
Rift Warrior. Blink, and you'll miss them.
MONK
Way of the Spirit Walker. You've got your foot in Death's door.
PALADIN
Oath of the Paragon. I Am Here!
RANGER
Stalker. It's not like I want to kill you or anything!
ROGUE
Clockstopper. You've got all the time in the world.
SORCERER
Star Soul. Beautiful, like diamonds in the sky.
Balanced Extremes. Half hot, half cold, all deadly.
WARLOCK
Pact of the Gatekeeper. Go home, Cthulu.
Pact of the Meddler. Trickery Domain for cool dudes.
Pact of the Parent. Like being the mom friend, but better.
WIZARD
Glyph Magic. Shake up your spellcasting with an art minor!
Now, not all of these will be fully developed or even used. I just tried to come up with some relatively unique ideas for each of the classes, and see what people thought. The fluff may not be too clear, so feel free to ask if you're confused and I'll explain it to you!
-The three Warlock subclasses of the Gatekeeper, the Meddler, and the Parent were probably some of my favorite concepts. They are, in a nutshell, as follows.
THE GATEKEEPER: Similar in structure to the Oath of the Watchers, the Pact of the Gatekeeper focuses on fighting through a combination of abjuration and conjuration abilities, banishing and conjuring opponents to turn the tides in your favor.
THE MEDDLER: I was tempted to make a Bill Cipher joke here, because that's exactly what this pact is- a deal with an entity of chaos and manipulation that spreads discord and influences others to cause confusion and disarray.
THE PARENT: A natural empath, the Pact of the Parent deals with keeping your allies safe and resolving combat through nonviolent ends- although you're free to lop a few heads off should they hurt your "children."
Balanced Extremes. Half hot, half cold, all deadly.
These two lines remind me of certain anime characters… if you watch My Hero Academia, then would you have any idea how to build Shoto Todoroki? If you don’t, then I guess I’m just a fanboy who sees a random cluster of words, and thinks, “That reminds me of…” Fanboy/Fangirl/Major Fan would be great titles.
Why yes, in fact, I am a pretty big MHA fan! The sorcerer subclass was initially designed off the whole heat vs ice thing from Nordic mythology but I thought it would be easier to connect it to Todoroki. I debated making the All Might one for the Monk, but I figured the nature of the paladin fit his whole gig a lot better.
As for building Shoto, once I finish the class I'd maybe give it a shot? Best idea I have for SRD might be either a Way of the Four Elements monk that specializes in fire and ice, or a sorcerer that has a lot of spells that do fire and cold damage in their list-
honestly i don't blame ya man, One for All is a bit confusing to make into a class. The way I was gonna go about it was having the paladin gain a sort of "super mode" like the full cowling and then learn new abilities and ways to focus their power as they leveled up-

SOME MORE INFO ABOUT THE SUBCLASSES!

the warlock subs are awesome
kind of wish I had a subscription so I could make em
¯\_🤠_/¯
Oh, you don't need a subscription to make homebrew! I have the free account and I'm able to make a lot of stuff!
wait I didn't't know that! would it be fine with you if tried to make these for my own campaign?
¯\_🤠_/¯
i mean, i'm gonna try and sell these on DMsGuild, so maybe not these specifically... but inspiration from them is okay, i guess!
