Basilisk
Knowledge (Arcana)
DC 15 - This eight-legged reptilian creature is a basilisk that can turn creatures to stone with a mere glance. This result reveals all magical beast traits.
DC 20 - Though very dangerous, the gaze attack of the basilisk has a limited range of about ten paces. Coupled with the fact that these creatures are slow and sluggish, most opponents can escape these creatures if they so wish.
DC 25 - A basilisk’s usual prey includes small mammals, birds, reptiles and similar creatures which it waits to ambush, turns to stone and then eats at its leisure. They are omnivorous and able to consume their petrified victims, which are often a clear sign of a nearby basilisk lair.

DC 10 (nature If beast / arcane if magical) (or equal to the basic information DC for the creature if lower than 10): Know what the type of creature is (aberration, undead, etc.) along with the basic information for that creature as given in the back of the Bestiary. +5 to the DC if the type is obscure. DC 15 (nature If beast / arcane if magical) (or equal to the intermediate information DC for the creature if lower than 15): Know what the subtype of creature is (devil, shapechanger, etc.) along with the basic information for that creature as given in the back of the Bestiary. +5 to the DC if the type is obscure.
(For the below, subtract 5 from the DC if the creature is very common and add 5 if it is very rare) DC 10 + CR: Know basic information about the creature including its name, legends, and simple facts. DC 15 + CR: Know more intermediate information about the creature, some special abilities, etc. DC 20 + CR: Know expert information about the creature, weaknesses, rarely used abilities, detailed information. DC 25 + CR: Know everything there is to know, spell-like abilities, very well hidden weaknesses, everything.

This is interesting. Though, the DC's have changed in 5th Ed because the skills have changed. 5 is easy, 10 is moderate, 15 is hard, 20 is harder, 25 is hardest... at least, that's how I read it.

5 is very easy, 10 is easy, 15 is medium, 20 is hard, 25 is very hard, and 30 is nearly impossible.

thats a good point well this is more of a starting point but the fact that its allowed you to subtract 5 from the DC if the creature is very common and add 5 if it is very rare should offset this case a - Worg (it would be at a CR1/2 and if you consider them common )
DC 10 - 5 + .5 = 5.5: DC 15 - 5 + .5 = 10.5 : DC 20 - 5 + .5 = 15.5: DC 25 - 5 + .5 = 20.5:
