So awhile back I was playing in a friend's campaign and at one point we where teleported thousands of years into the future by an ancient demon released by the parties warlock (the demon was his patron). The world we had been playing in was completely transformed into a post Apocalyptic world rules by the demon (samurai Jack references where made).
This (plus my love of Dark Sun) has prompted me to create my own post Apocalyptic Fantasy setting. So while I'm working on it I'm curious to see what settings any other DMs have made that fit the setting type?
Dude, i think it would be sick if you had a lot of time travel mechanics! But i personally, have ran a campaign in which the players had to stop the BBEG from going back in time and killing the younger versions of the heroes. Kinda like terminator. Its always fun

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.
Closest example in my case, I once made an alternate universe pisonic-based post apocalyptic campaign set in Munich, Germany. Major plot points and lore included:
The Sea had become too acidic to attempt travel, and all contact with the Americas had been lost.
Most of the world was now under the control of the Devaraj (God king), but he extended neither his control nor protection to any a place outside the cities. So there was the wild anarchist "Invalid" outside, and the civilized corrupt authoritarian "Exalted" inside, with only a few hard pressed "Valid" towns and scavengers in between.
Every once in a while, over night, a Valid's memories, personality, skills, almost anything not involving their physical self, would completely change. Almost like they were a different person, which is exactly what was happening. These "Raptured" were those Valids, but from our reality, transposed into the alternate reality and completely replacing the Valid. People thought they were blessed by the Devaraj.
The Devaraj was actually the first person to be Raptured. He was a nuclear scientist that decided to take advantage of the situation and attempt to create his idealized perfect world.
The Devaraj Raptured anyone that he felt could potentially be a major threat.
The Devaraj threw out the Invalids from society because they had no "our reality" equivalent, and therefore could not be Raptured.
