I did a bunch of random thinking about magic mouth and came up with an interesting invention, I want to know if there were any flaws in the design that would make it not work.
Firstly, you need to be a level 5 wizard who knows glyph of warding, magic mouth, thaumaturgy (magic initiate cleric or 1 level into cleric), blindness and deafness, and catapult
Next get 2 nails on each side of the door and attach something to a string like a necklace and put it on each of the nails, cast glyph of warding with catapult aimed towards each ear of anyone who tries to open the door besides the caster, afterwards cast alter self to potentially make your vocal cords stronger, next cast thaumaturgy to increase the volume of your voice by 3x, next use another set of glyphs set to magic mouth and scream at max volume, and have it so that it will activate when they come in contact with or is within like 5 inches of a person's ears. Finally, one last spell to add, use one more glyph of warding, this time using blindness and deafness set to blindness, attached to both necklaces.
Congratulations. You have delivered an incredibly loud sound directly to their ears and blinded them at the same time
Glyph of Warding only lets you stick a spell that targets a single creature or an area in it. Catapult targets an object so there's no way to make it work with GoW no matter how you try to finagle it.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
Better, set the glyph in the floor in front of the door set to off at the end of the magic mouth. Then set he spell in the glyph to a L3 Thunderwave. 4 D8 damage then blasted 10 feet upwards to smash into the ceiling (+1d6) then falling back to the floor ( +1d6) = 22 damage to everyone in the 10’ square area in front of the door. Alright, they do get a save for half damage and no blast effects but that is still 8 damage to upto 4-8(small) folk which really isn’t bad for a L5 character.

Crossover event stuff tends to be dubiously canon. WotC printed made Magic cards for several Transformers characters a few years back but that doesn't make them officially part of the Magic multiverse. Besides that, Linked Glyphs still requires a spell stored in it to target a single creature or an area, just like GoW.

Just use two GoW to cast blindness and deafness. Or even silence and darkness.
Or just hurt them right off the bat and use GoW for explosive effect.
That is a fair point.
More fun to have a flavor trap like this tho.
I think it's an interesting idea
Catapult is incompatible with glyph of warding.
Should work with linked glyphs though

Wisea$$ DM and Player since 1979.
linked glyphs...not glyph of warding. Linked glyphs allows AoE and target spells up to lvl 4. Page 9 -> Its released by WotC with the ampersand so, despite not being on DDB, its no less official than anything else out there: https://media.wizards.com/2021/downloads/AFR_Adventures/MTGAFR_EN_Adventures_EP3_37HFhwey.pdf

I'm not sure how "official" that adventure line is. At the very least, I wouldn't allow that spell to be used by characters not in those adventures.

That was released for Magic the Gathering/D&D cross.
It was offered for free.
Since it is free maybe you can make a link to the other free modules in the 4 part set.

The 'Linked Glyphs' spell has the exact same restriction as Glyph of Warding
Catapult targets an object, so it is incompatible.
ha, well that's a good point.
