I would just like to ask what people's tips a fairly experienced player doing dragon heist? (Please no spoilers). The DM wants to wait to session 0 before talking about the campaign. I am planning to play a male Drow necromancy wizard faction agent for the Zhentarim or a bugbear rouge assassin or something completely different if there is an obvious gap in the party's ability's or someone else wants to play a rouge or a wizard.

- Someone once told me that it is possible to play an artificer without collateral damage. They were wrong. Without collateral damage, what is the point of playing an Artificer?
- Nothing solves a problem better than a little gnome power!
The big one is dragon heist is a low level campaign, so make something fun to play at low levels! It's also a campaign in a city where use of magic is restricted so take that into consideration.
I will say that there's a lot of social interaction in the campaign, and depending on how your DM runs the game world, it might be difficult to be a necromancer if your goal is to have a small army of zombies following you.
Without getting into spoilers... it's a game about dragons. If you get the option to learn an additional language, it might as well be draconic.
Thanks since it will be from 1 to 5 level there won't be many undead walking around since it is not really worth it till 6th level when I get undead thralls so since the 2-level feature for school of necromancy is pretty bad I might change the school I was thinking of maybe planning a charisma wizard making alliances with his own agenda. So I could take teh school of enchantment instead.

Enchantment wizard is definitely underrated. It has some skills that become less useful over time, but it has some features that are seriously game breaking under the right conditions.
Good points though (possibly foolishly) since it will be charisma wizard it's survivability will not be the best so I might get some value out of grim harvest. I might ask the DM very nicely If I can have inflict wounds but that up to the DM. Thanks to additional books I have some okay necro spells like summon undead, cause fear and whither bloom. I also have the first confirmed character I will be playing with a Plasmoid Goolock.

Honestly? It's in a city, but there's not as many NPC interactions in the book as you might think. It's low level, but also highly customizable, so your dragon heist is probably not mine, nor anyone else's... Especially when it has 4 possible "villians".
I love my rogues and they tend to be my default, but my players went with a few paladins a few clerics and a few rogues, and a divination wizard.
You can be just about anything and have a fun time, but I would suggest forming your character idea off of what will work best at lower levels.
If I were in it and not playing a rogue.... I think a sorcerer, so I can get some magic and still have a few options.
