They're less like robots and more like synths (aliens). They have bodily fluids that could be used for blood hunter rituals. As for which subrace, skirmisher if you want to go dex for attacking, juggernaut if you prefer strength, envoy if you care about more than combat.
That would be interesting to roleplay lol. I wonder what the half transformation would look like.
Think of it like the kind of transformation any mechanical character undergoes in various forms of media. Parts of your body/frame start moving around into a new configuration that exposes parts/systems with enhanced functions. A "power-mode", "over-drive", etc.

You don't know what fear is until you've witnessed a drunk bird divebombing you while carrying a screaming Kobold throwing fire anywhere and everywhere.
So with the “new version” to morph into the new blood hunter where wisdom was more important than intelligence but now intelligence is more important do I have to creat a whole new character or can I just switch intel for wis and carry on?
What if you’ve made a warforged actually nature based and is made of wood with just metal plates to protect certain places? What would you use in place of blood or construct oil? (Before you say I warforged can’t be non mechanical, i am currently playing one as such)
If you look at the Warforged as being more robot, then would it be an interesting concept that it would be able to interact with oil just as well as blood? I would think blood magic is more objective than subjective, But I guess that would have to be defined by the DM as what counts as blood. just a thought

Who here agrees that it would be seriously boss as f@#$. P.S If you do choose to do that which subrace would really bring the best out of the class.
Robots interacting with blood is a bit weird 😀
I guess you're right. But its still cool.

warforged have a fluid similar to the function of blood
Maybe make it a cyborg. Warforged and human in one body. Outer Warforged and internal human like the brain, heart, blood stream, etc.

Tree sap comes to mind.
