Does Aid expire on someone when they reach 0 HP? As in, once someone with Aid is dropped to 0 HP, could Aid be cast on them again now? Thx!
”Duration: 8 hours”
“Your spell bolsters your allies with toughness and resolve. Choose up to three creatures within range. Each target’s hit point maximum and current hit points increase by 5 for the duration.”
The effect of Aid does not end when they drop to 0 hit points, but there is nothing stopping you from casting the spell on them again. The effects of a second casting will not stack (you can't cast twice to increase their hit points twice), but if you use a higher level spell slot (first casting at level 2, second at level 3), they would then benefit from the higher-level effect. This would increase their maximum hit points even further, heal them slightly, and bring them up from being Unconscious.

Oh wow didn’t think of upcastong. Good idea.
Okay say I already cast it at my highest level? Casting again wouldn’t do anything? Or would it heal them the amount but not raise their max HP?

It would heal them but not raise their max HP. When the first casting ends their max HP would benefit from the second casting.

interesting. Think that is rules as intended? Or even as written? If so, means healing from afar still an option on allies that had Aid cast on them earlier proactively (8-hr duration).
It is rules as intended and as written, you can find why here.
The pertinent line: "The effects of different spells add together while their durations overlap. In contrast, the effects of the same spell cast multiple times don’t combine. Instead, the most potent effect—such as the highest bonus—from those castings applies while their durations overlap."

No, why would it, you quoted the spell?
I don’t know. Wasn’t sure if spells on players/creatures ended if they dropped.

Only if the spell explicitly says that it does, which this one doesn't.

Very cool thank you!
