A wizard casts wish to create permanency to his animate objects spell. They target 10 ball bearings. You now have 10 Animated Ball Bearings. Repeat the next 100 days; 1,000 Animated Ball Bearings.
A hoard of goblins attacks your city. Roll out the ball bearings before the goblins...if they fall, the ball bearings nearby attack. When the bearings are overrun, they attack the rear of the goblin horde while defenders hold their position.
33% chance each time to lose Wish forever, so probably not happening. And Permanency isn’t a defined Wish use, so you’re just as likely to have your DM mess with your expectations by allowing you to permanently concentrate on a single casting as you are to get permanent animated balls, or they don’t stay controlled, or or or....
Like most uses of wish, if you’re going off script with the spell, it’s usually safer to do so in service of the plot than as an attempt to cheese some funky interaction.

I believe "creating permanency to another spell" is not one of the "free, guaranteed to work" uses of Wish in 5e. You may be thinking of previous editions, where permanency was easier to achieve.
If you're going off-script and using the "Wish can do anything your DM allows" option of Wish, then you don't even need to cast it 100 times - just Wish once for an army of 1000 animated ball bearings. Talk to your DM first, though. It'll work if the DM wants it to and not otherwise.
I was going off previous discussions on how to use wish in 5e and getting permanency. I did not think it was fully possible but a cool idea. It might be something to look at hiring a wizard to create them as well, similar to getting animated armor to defend your castle/keep. The note would still be, they take damage the same and do 'die' at some point.
