So in my D&D homebrew some monster are infected with this celestial corruption, they are the same creature except always hostile, cannot be reasoned with, and have to be defeated. I want them to be a bit stronger than their original counterpart, what should i raise, how far, and other advice i should know getting more into it (please if you can leave an example: owl vs corrupt owl)
Celestial Weapons. The owl's weapon attacks are magical. When the owl hits with any weapon, the weapon deals an extra 1d8 radiant damage (included in the attack).
Flyby. The owl doesn't provoke opportunity attacks when it flies out of an enemy's reach.
Keen Hearing and Sight. The owl has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or sight.
Actions
Talons.Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 slashing damage plus 4 (1d8) radiant damage.
The things Jesse suggested won't change CR, but increasing damage and HP like I did might (in the case of the owl, I felt it was worth going to 1/8). You can check some guidelines in the DMG about homebrew monster CR.

Based on your description, I would do some or all of the below:
I feel this would give the sense of them not being able to be reasoned with and the increased hostility.
A few extra hitpoints, an extra damage dice of radiant damage, common condition immunities (poison, fear, charm). A corrupt owl would be:

This is so helpful thank you

That owl, if a bit more changed (maybe only -2 or -1 str for attacks.) Could be a cool beast companion
