First, I feel Ranger should have "Dueling" included as a fighting style, but perhaps I'm biased. Does anyone have any thoughts on this, i.e. why it wouldn't fit thematically or balance wise?
Polearm Master: I feel like the "Pole Strike" should be a free action, since that is how duel wielding is being changed to. Considering Shield Master can use the shield without using a bonus action.
Resilient: anyone think it should be "repeatable" I'm not sure if that could unbalance the game.
Great Weapon Master: perhaps limit it to close range weapons, since it wouldn't make sense to include Heavy Crossbows or Longbows as part of this.
Spell Sniper: I'm a little disappointed that double range is removed, but I suppose most combat encounters aren't going to be 240+ feet.
Although we haven't seen the Sorcerer UA yet, the class list (Arcane) seems to give them a lot more spells to use. i.e. Simulacrum, Wall of Force, Mordenkainen’s Magnificent Mansion / Sword, etc.
I'm curious if Sorcerers will be less distinct from wizards, since they also added "Prepared spells" to 2 classes in this book, and that may be the standard going forward, but we'll have to see.
Overall, I do like a lot of the changes.
