Now that we have the druid out. The concept of monster and stat block design has been tied to the conversation around creatures. Clearly unique mechanics are at least a part of what makes a creature.
In the dmg there is a table of monster features. DMG monster features link . Some form of this will be useful moving forward and I would like to start the discussion around creating monsters.
IMO separating the table by type would be useful. That way beast traits could be singled out for beasmasters and druids (maybe even spells like summons or alterself). clean up here would solve a lot of headache in so many other areas
The cr calculation for suck features, skills, resistances, possibly equipment really needs to be re-evaluated. for example: people clearly don't believe fire resistance is equal to force.
As a dm What would you like to see for such adjustments? as a player are you interested in backend interaction?
