I had a similar idea for a base concept. I even considered Hexblade at one time, but I couldn't work with it in that manner. The biggest hurdle for you - DM cooperation - seems to have been overcome.
You can't use the weapon as a spellcasting focus without the (Pact of the Blade) Eldritch Invocation "Improved Pact Weapon." If your DM will allow you to use a firearm as a weapon for Pact of the Blade (three levels of Warlock), that would be a good fit. However, as per the rules, it seems like firearms - being absent from the PHB weapon list which is used for Pact of the Blade, might not technically be considered as valid. Such as using Lifedrinker with a ranged weapon. But what the DM says goes.
Your stats are good in both DEX and CHA which will help with your two different spell save DC's, but you still get only one action a turn. A level 1 Warlock has one spell slot. Warlocks from levels 2-10 have just two spell slots. To compensate for that, they get a strong cantrip with lots of modifiers. But you don't need that cantrip, you have a strong DEX-based firearm. You get a bit of extra stuff, but I'm not sure how much utility it'll be for your gunplay.

When I adapted my similar base concept, I decided instead to just have my PC's "gun" be actually non-functional and instead just be the delivery mechanism for Eldritch Blasts and certain other spells (and technically I don't need the gun, my PC chooses to to help disguise their most obvious spellcasting as coming from "magic items from an artificer friend"). ((Technically at one point my PC might have been a Fighter (Gunslinger), but I consider any possible Fighter/Gunslinger levels or features to have been lost when making his pact.))
Well I'm currently dual wielding pepperboxes and my DM has been gracious enough to let me have my off-hand gun as a pact weapon when the time comes and my main hand pepperbox is my hex weapon. My original plan was to get that sweet char modifier on my off-hand however I don't think it counts towards damage, only the attack. So my second thought might be to have a shield in off-hand and manifest my pact weapon during my turns. Picked up eldritch blast for one cantrip and mage hand for the other as I really don't need 2 damaging cantrips. Current spells are shield which I would likely use the most in large group enemies and hex for my other to use mainly on big single targets but will work well in groups as long as there isn't ranged enemies.
At this time I'm thinking 5 levels in warlock and the rest in fighter/gunslinger
