So I am playing a Satyr who started as an Artificer and either will get 1 more level of Arty or start on Wizard Bladesinger - we are doing character level for ASI, so taking an extra Artificer level won't slow down that, but it would delay spell progression, is it better to get some infusions now (rather than later) or is it better to not slow spell progression?
It depends on what you're looking to get out of the character to start having fun. I, personally, think bladesinger is best when you have extra attack. I wouldn't delay it, so I wouldn't multi class.but if you want the flavor and extra cantrips, spells, and con save proficiency, then it's worth it. If you think your campaign won't go too far but you want to use high level spells asap, then I wouldn't multi class. If you value what the dip offers and think it'd serve you well at all points of the game, go for it
Personally I would not get Artificer 2 until after I hit Wizard 6. The Bladesinger's Extra Attack feature is probably one of the main reasons you are playing this character so why delay it more than necessary?
I would also drop one of your cantrips for Guidance. Apart from that its a solid looking start.
