Im starting new game where your DM want us to play in Forgotten Realms reality. So my question here is for some tips about my character. Lucky to rolls i get 11 12 12 13 15 18 so i'm not lacking in the start. My question is what tradition will suit for my party. I know that our party gonna be Rogue Swashbuckler, Druid circle of moon and barbarian with storm herald sea aura. We starting now at lvl 1 so i got some time to think about it. Im considering witch one tradition will fill my party gaps. I was thinking mostly about evocation/divination or at last illusion but not so much. Same goes with going evocation better is i gues forest gnome but with divination i coud go human with lucky feat. I can't decide wich one. I would accept all tips.
Nice rolling on the stats, this really lets you pick what you want to be for race combo. As for school, what is your party's general approach? I see you have a rouge, druid, and barbarian.
Is everyone trained in Stealth? If you're a sneaky party then training in stealth and either Divination or Illusion could be very cool. I always liked the idea of a Divinition Wizard (possibly Halfling) get Lucky as soon as possible and training in cards. He's a card shark theme liked Maverick.
If your party very combat focused? The a high dex, finesse weapon and Blade Singer (High Elf could give you Dex 20 and Int 16), then you could be stuck in combat with your party dancing in and out of combat with the Swashbuckler. You'll probably be using Booming or Greenflame blade a lot.
Is your party lacking a face you and you want to take that roll? Make a Half-Elf and maybe go Enchantment.
That said I'm a huge fan of Abjuration Wizard especially with a Deep Gnome with Svifneblin Magic to recharge the Arcane Ward at will with nondetection. The 14th lvl ability Spell Resistance for Abjuration does make Gnomish Cunning, redundant, but that's a long way away.
If you're a less then ethical party Minor Akchemy from a Transmutationist with training in Forgery kit and Disguise Kit and some good Charisma could make you an interesting cheat/thief Wizard. You can summon up fake gold and sell it.
As you can see I often like to do something other then the classical Wizard.
Is your druid also looking to focus on healing? If so, that could change things for you.
I don't think it changes things as long as kattoken wants to play a Wizard. Wizards have no healing option, even as a support healer. He did mention the Druid is a were-druid moon druid. They both can focus on healing and not at all, it depends on how much the moon druid feels he needs those level 1 spells for healing in Wildshape, but the ROI on the slot is terrible in combat (1d8 no bonus as a Bonus Action) so I've rarely seen it used outside of emergencies. My Moon Druid uses up all his lvl 1 spells on Goodberry at the start of the day and a single casting of Create Water or Purify Food and Drink.
It's almost a blitzkrieg build as a party... I would go Swordmage high-elf and keep up with the charge and it's also nice if this party goes stealth ambush.
The weaknesses of this kick in the door type of party could really be mitigated by scrying/scouting so get a familiar.
It also seems to be limited on healing so maybe starting first level as a fighter ( to gain second wind and two weapon fighting) or a bard (to get healing spells and inspiration, cure wounds + familiar = a good time )

This party is full of Fast movement frontliners.
