Thorned Quarterstaff
Once held by the Druid Darcelle; it became corrupted when she was turned by a vampire- but it was powerful enough to let her retain her free will- and not suffer some penalties that being a vampire normally causes.
-
Magic Weapon: +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls.
-
Spell Focus: Can be used as a druidic spellcasting focus.
Vampiric Bloom:
Once per turn when you deal necrotic damage to a creature with a druid spell while wielding the staff, you regain hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1).
Bloodroot Wild Shape:
When you use Wild Shape while wielding or carrying the Quarterstaff, you gain temporary hit points equal to twice your Druid level.
You can use this ability once per short or long rest.
Entangling Death:
When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with a necrotic damage spell while wielding the Quarterstaff, you can cause spectral vines to erupt from its corpse.
Choose a creature within 10 feet of the corpse.
That creature must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC 15) or be restrained for 1 minute (save ends at end of turn).
Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
Notes: (This is for Bloodroot Wild Shape), Versatile, Topple
