While attuned to the Toad’s Sentinel Brooch, you gain the following feature:

🛡️ Toad’s Guardian (Reaction)

When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to summon a Toad Guardian to absorb part of the blow.

• The Toad Guardian intercepts the attack and absorbs half the damage (rounded down) you would take from that attack.

• The Toad Guardian manifests briefly, shimmering in a soft pink glow, before vanishing.

This feature can be used once per long rest. The brooch regains this ability at dawn.

🎲 Optional Rules: Guardian Interference

If the attack that triggered the reaction has an additional saving throw effect (such as a poison or spell), the Toad Guardian provides advantage on that save.

Example: If you are hit by a Medusa’s gaze attack or a poisoned blade, you roll the saving throw with advantage.

🐸 Visual Flavor

When activated, the Toad Guardian appears as a spectral Toad, wearing a small helmet, holding a tiny shield. It briefly blocks the incoming attack, letting out a “Wahoo!” before fading into light.
