This black steel longsword was created by a vampire lord thousands of years ago, to house his soul in the event of his death. Its said to have been forged in the abyss with the flames of an ancient red dragon. Stories say that if a user would feed this weapon his or her essence it could push the weapon's power beyond its limits.

This sword does an additional 1d6 fire damage.

Once per long rest you can use your action to make a drain attack against a creature within 5 feet of you. The target must make a DC 15 constitution saving throw or take 4d4 narcotic damage or half as much on a successful save. Half the damage done with this attack heals the user and the other half is fed to the sword, giving it faint blood red glow.

This sword is a chaotic evil sentient sword. Intelligence of 18(+4), Wisdom of 24 (+7), charisma of 22 (+6). Hearing and dark vision of 60 feet. Understands and speaks draconic and the language of its user. It will make whispers to the owner like "More blood..." and "Drain that one." That only the owner can hear.

Once attuned the owner can see the rolls of tiny razors along the blades edge. The sword cannot be removed from the owner by any means except the wish spell. The sword could be removed by several priest channeling remove curse spell simultaneously.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
