The Windcutter Glaive has the ability to cut the air around it and create a windslash extending from the strike. The glaive has six charges. On an attack you can expend any number of charges. Every charge expended allows you to send a windslash up to 20 ft from the tip of the blade (120 ft if all six charges are used). If you expend at least three charges add an extra damage die to the attack. The glaive replenishes three charges after a short rest and all charges after a long rest.
Proficiency with a Glaive allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
Notes: Heavy, Reach, Two-Handed, Graze
Could be worded a little better, but pretty cool concept, might include this in the campaign I plan on running.
i.e.
The Wind-cutter Glaive has the ability to cut the air around it and create a wind slash extending from the strike.
This glaive has six charges. As part of an attack, you can expend one or more these charges to increase the reach of that attack by an additional 20ft, as a wind slash created by the blade travels through the air to hit the target. For each additional charge spent the reach of the attack increases by a further 20ft. If you expend 3 or more charges on a single attack, than that attack also does an additional 1d10 slashing damage. This glaive regains 3 charges on a short rest, and all of its expended charges on a long rest.
Thanks for some clarification on exactly what a windslash was. I though it was just some cool effect when I first read it.
