Weapon (greatsword), unknown rarity

Xal’Thorak is a fearsome greatsword with a dark, storm-tempered steel blade that hums faintly with restrained power. Crack-like channels run the length of the weapon’s surface, etched with luminous runes that pulse faintly with electric blue light—especially when Zareth draws breath for his storm. The fuller of the blade bears the faint, scorched markings of its last wielder: Cinderath, a now-defeated half-dragon whose fury lingers faintly in the steel.

The crossguard is shaped like stylized dragon wings, forged of blackened iron with inlaid cobalt veins. The hilt is wrapped in deep navy leather, slightly warm to the touch, and the pommel bears the sigil of Bob—the Dwarf Who Builds Things—stamped beside a storm rune shaped like a coiled bolt.

When Zareth channels his breath weapon, the blade flares with brilliant arcs of lightning, dancing between the runes and leaping across its edge. Each swing leaves a faint crackle in the air, the scent of ozone, and sometimes—when it strikes with full fury—a trailing echo of thunder.

As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your breath weapon to imbue the blade with lightning doing the same damage as your breath weapon.  Lightning lasts for 4 strikes, first 2 are at full breath weapon damage; second 2 are at 1/2 damage.
