Though it's appearance reminds many of a simple childhood memory, this is no ordinary kid's toy. The string, a thread spun from Steel Spiders themselves, and it's body forged from a rare source of wood called Ironbark. A wood as dense, and durable, as freshly forged iron or steel, makes this tool as deadly as any other weapon.
When the weapon is unfurled, blades jut out and cut into your target at high velocity before retracting as it returns to hand. This weapon can be used either as a melee weapon with a 5-foot range, or as a thrown weapon that has a short range of 10-feet to a long range of 30-feet. If used as a thrown weapon, the Yo-Yo will always return to your hand at the end of the attack, whether it hits or misses.
This weapon can use the Topple weapon mastery which you can use so long as you've mastered the property with another weapon.
Walking the Dog: As an action, you can choose to unfurl the Yo-Yo up to its long range where the Yo-Yo expands and slices into creatures along a straight line. This line has a width of 5-feet. Each creature caught in this trajectory must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC equals 8 + prof + dex mod) where on a failure each creature takes the damage of the weapon's attack. On a success, creatures take half damage.
The double-bladed scimitar is the signature weapon of Valenar elves. A haft of fine wood supports a long, curving blade on either end. Forged with techniques honed over centuries, these blades are strong, sharp, and remarkably light. Each scimitar is a masterpiece, and as a result the double-bladed scimitar is an expensive weapon (100 gp) — few though ever have the opportunity to purchase one. A Valenar blade in the hands of a non-elf is generally assumed to have been stolen or looted from a fallen foe, and a Valenar elf might feel entitled to demand its return or challenge the bearer to prove they’re worthy to wield it.
Special. If you attack with a double-bladed scimitar as part of the Attack action on your turn, you can use a bonus action immediately after to make a melee attack with it. This attack deals 1d4 slashing damage on a hit, instead of 2d4.
