Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement by a requires attunement by a warlock)

“It was never meant to kill, it was meant to make gods bleed truth.”

A tapering shard of obsidian glass, curved like a fang, with a single silver thread spiraling through its core. When held, it reflects not the world around it, but distorted glimpses of what is hidden.

Spellcasting Focus

The Thorn serves as your arcane focus. While attuned, you gain the following benefits:

  • Your Warlock spell DC and Spell Attack Modifier increase by +1.

  • You gain a +1 bonus to all damage on all Warlock cantrips.

Thorn-Fused Eldritch Blast

Your Eldritch Blast is altered by the Thorn:

  • Each beam gains +1d6 Physic Damage.

  • If a target of Eldritch Blast is concentrating on a spell or concealing information, they must make a Charisma saving throw or lose concentration or speak an involuntary truth (DM’s discretion).

Revelation of Lies

When a creature within 60 feet of you lies, you may use your reaction to:

  • Mark that creature with a Brand of Fracture for 1 minute.

  • While marked, you gain advantage on attacks and spell atacks against them, and they cannot benefit from magical invisibility or illusions against you.

This feature can be used 3 times per long rest.

Dispel the Mask

As an action, you may invoke the Thorn to do one of the following:

  1. Reveal the Divine – The Thorn pulses and reveals whether a creature, item, or place within 60 feet has been touched by divinity (celestial origin, divine spellwork, or god-marked).

  2. Break the Lie – Force one target within 60 feet to make a Charisma Saving Throw (DC = 8 + proficiency + Charisma mod). On failure, one illusion, disguise, or false memory ends instantly. If this reveals a hidden truth about the gods, you regain 1 warlock spell slot.

This feature has 2 charges, the charges rest at dawn.

Eris’s Mark — Passive Trait

The Thorn feeds on the unraveling of divine control. When you cast a Warlock spell targeting a creature with a divine connection or holy symbol, it deals maximum damage on one dice, once per turn.

Additionally, you are immune to the Zone of Truth spell, and any attempt to divine your alignment or past shows only a mirrored void.
