Wondrous Item, artifact

Zhar'kul Venmora

Item Type: Forbidden Relic
Origin: Unknown, whispered to be crafted in the final days of the Pale War by a godless order of soul-weavers.

Appearance:

Zhar'kul Venmora is a small, obsidian medallion roughly the size of a raven’s eye, suspended from a sinewy cord of ash-grey sinew that pulses faintly when worn. Its surface is carved with deep, angular glyphs in a language long dead, and at its center is a single shard of black crystal, forever swirling with crimson mist. When exposed to moonlight, the amulet emits a barely audible hum — like distant weeping behind stone walls.

The amulet possesses a singular, terrifying enchantment:

“It absorbs all pain.”

Each time the bearer suffers an injury — whether a blade’s cut, a burn, a broken bone, or even emotional torment — the pain of the wound is not felt. Instead, the amulet drinks it, storing the agony in its core. The user will continue to bleed, bruise, or falter, but without any sensation of pain.

This makes the wearer nearly unstoppable in combat or survival situations. They do not hesitate. They do not flinch. They do not fear harm.

However, the amulet is not a gift. It is a curse with patience.
