Weapon (dagger), legendary (requires attunement by a Requires attunement)

This dagger was carved from the rotting fang of an ancient green dragon after her body succumbed to time. Witherfang was forged from her last intact tooth — a vessel of slow death

 

Magic Weapon. Counts as magical for overcoming resistances and immunities.


Fang of Entropy

 

When Witherfang deals damage to a living creature, a cursed essence enters the body.

  • The target must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw, or become Cursed by Witherfang.

  • While cursed: the creature cannot regain hit points by any means.

  • The curse cannot be removed by a Remove Curse or Greater Restoration spell
  • At each long rest, the cursed creature must make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or some of their life force is ripped from their body and the curse spreads deeper from the wound. 
  • If reduced to 0 HP while cursed, the target crumbles into desiccated remains, cannot be resurrected  and their soul is trapped within the fang until the curse is broken.

 

It is not known how to cure this curse but rumours have it that a creature as ancient as the one that produced the fang may hold the key.

Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
