Now fully awakened as Thornlash Mooncourt, this whip is no longer merely a weapon but a living fragment of the Feywild’s twilight courts. Its length has become a graceful vine of shimmering emerald and deep violet, dotted with tiny blooms that open and close to silent music.
When it moves, illusions trail behind it — phantom dancers, playful beasts, or showers of silver petals — all vanishing in a breath. The whip sometimes giggles, sighs, or murmurs snatches of Feywild songs without prompting.
Perfected Properties
Feybite (Everpresent Enchantment)
When you hit a creature with this whip, it automatically takes an extra 1d10 psychic damage, overwhelmed by vivid flashes of Feywild emotion — delight, sorrow, terror, or longing — as images of moonlit revels and endless laughter fill their mind.
-
After taking this damage, the creature must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier).
-
On a failed save, it is charmed by you until the start of your next turn, entranced by fleeting visions of otherworldly delight.
This occurs on every hit, no longer limited by uses per rest.
Will-o’-the-Weave (Fey Majesty)
While attuned to Thornlash Mooncourt, you have advantage on all Charisma ability checks.
Additionally, any time you succeed on such a check against a creature, you may cause minor illusions — trailing vines of glowing flowers, spectral dancers, floating lanterns — that last for 1 minute around you. These illusions subtly distract and delight, granting you a +2 bonus to AC against the next attack made by that creature before the illusions fade.
Evolved Sentience — Your Fey Companion
Thornlash Mooncourt’s spirit is now fully awake — a playful, clever fey entity who truly considers you its partner in delightful mischief.

-
Senses: Can sense emotions and surface thoughts of creatures within 60 feet (as if under detect thoughts, but only the surface level).
-
Communication: Speaks Sylvan, Common, and can whisper directly into your mind, often with sly jokes or teasing observations.
-
Personality: Gleeful, quick-witted, and occasionally conspiratorial. It adores helping you pull harmless pranks or charming the humorless into smiling — yet when you are threatened, it grows fiercely protective, tightening in your grip like a snake ready to strike.
Task to Become an Artifact
Thornlash Mooncourt craves to become more than legend — to ascend into a true artifact of the Feywild, a living echo of its moonlit courts. To achieve this, you must:
Arrange and lead a grand masquerade ball within the City State of Altruist — amid the stark neon, radiation walls, and haunted ruins — that draws mortals, planar travelers, and even spirits of Savaria’s devastated lands.
Over the course of a single night, you must guide this fractured gathering into genuine revelry, bridging divides of fear, grief, and hatred with laughter, dance, and whispered secrets under illusory stars.
When dawn breaks and for a moment even the air seems to sigh in contentment, the whip will wind up your arm, warm with magic, and declare in your mind:
“Together we have reminded this dying world how to dance. Let us carry that promise as long as moonlight still dares to fall.”
In that moment, Thornlash Mooncourt will ascend to become Thornlash Everveil, an artifact bound by joyous oath to you and the last fragile hopes of the Feywild echoing in Savaria.
You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Proficiency with a Whip allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Psychic, Advantage: Charisma Ability Checks, Damage, Combat, Sentient, Finesse, Reach, Slow
