Now crowned as Thornlash Everveil, this whip is no longer simply an echo of the Feywild — it is a direct living conduit to that realm’s twilight courts. Its length is woven from strands of moonlight, vibrant shadow, and endless flowering vines that bloom with tiny faces that laugh or sigh before fading.
When moved, it leaves behind swirling motes that briefly recreate impossible Feywild vistas: spiral groves, floating isles, or delicate crystal bridges that vanish as quickly as dreams.
It wraps itself around your wrist or shoulders like a content familiar, and its laughter has become warm and genuine, filling quiet moments with soft melodies that only you hear.
Mythic Properties
Feybite (Mythic Dance)
When you hit a creature with Thornlash Everveil, it takes an extra 2d10 psychic damage, overwhelmed by a kaleidoscope of Feywild sensations — overwhelming joy, crushing nostalgia, dazzling terror — that swirl through its mind.
-
Each creature damaged this way must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier).
-
On a failed save, it is charmed and incapacitated until the start of your next turn, lost in an irresistible vision of revels under alien moons.
Will-o’-the-Weave (Court Glamour)
While attuned to Thornlash Everveil, you have advantage and a +2 on all Charisma checks, and creatures of your choice within 30 feet have disadvantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened by you.
Additionally, when you speak or dance, fey illusions blossom around you: lanterns bobbing in the air, ghostly musicians playing, phantom courtiers swirling in delicate patterns. These illusions persist for 1 minute, granting you +2 AC and resistance to psychic damage as long as they dance.
Sentience — Your True Fey Ally
Thornlash Everveil’s spirit is now fully awake — an ancient fey trickster lord or lady, bound in playful affection to you.
-
Intelligence 14, Wisdom 18, Charisma 20
-
Senses: Knows the surface thoughts and strongest emotions of creatures within 120 feet (as detect thoughts, surface only).
-
Communication: Speaks in elegant Sylvan, playful but layered Common, and can even sing in long-lost tongues of the Feywild. It often whispers stories or jokes only you hear.
-
Personality: Clever, protective, delighting in joy and defiance. It considers you its dearest friend and co-conspirator, eager to help you charm the bleakness from the world.
If the Wielder Dies
If you die while attuned to Thornlash Everveil, it lets out a soft, mournful laugh that carries on the wind like distant bells. Its moonlit vines blacken and curl inward, shedding ghostly petals that evaporate into tiny sighs.
It then reverts to its common form, Thornlash Echo, silent and dim. For years, it refuses to awaken for any other bearer, drifting in sorrow until a heart with a spark like yours calls to it again.
Destruction
As an artifact of the Feywild, Thornlash Everveil cannot be destroyed by mortal means.
It can only be undone if:
It is willingly laid at the feet of an Archfey in their own domain, who then sings a dirge of endings under a blood-red moon.
This final song severs Thornlash Everveil’s bond to the planes, unraveling it into a scattering of silver blossoms that melt into tears on the forest floor, forever lost to memory.
