Weapon (shortbow), very rare (requires attunement by a Bard, Druid, Ranger, Rogue, Fighter)

As a Cardinal Weapon, a wielder is selected by The Fates in a time of true need, often lost to time once their purpose is served, only to resurface once again. The fated wielders often develop a bond with the weapon far before they become vessel's of their weapon's power, often leading them to its resting place. Windrunner became renowned for its use across many battles for its inescapable killing blows and the wielder's resilience.

This weapon has +3 to hit. When attuned, the wielder is immune to being stunned, and channels its dark power dealing an addition 2d6 necrotic damage.
Leeching Shot: Twice per encounter, as an action, you harness the full power of of Windrunner's leeching might, shooting a necrotic arrow up to 40ft in a 15ft radius. Creatures must make a DC 16 saving throw, on a failed saved taking 6d6 damage, healing for half as much damage. On a successful save, creatures take half as much damage.

Curse: Once picked up the user may not wield any other weapon.

Proficiency with a Shortbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
