A spear forged from the seafoam and riptide, coalesced into a condensed weapon. The shaft is of a greyish blue, with the blade being a deep black with a blue iridescent hue rippling inside it.
You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
Upon hitting a ranged attack with this weapon, any hostile creature within 10 feet of the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is knocked back 5 feet and take 2d4 Cold damage. On a succesful save, the creature takes only 1d4 Cold damage. The spear then returns back to its wielder, reforming from atmospheric moisture.
Upon hitting a melee attack, the target takes an extra 4d6 Cold damage. If the attack is a crit, the target also takes an additional 2d8 Cold damage and must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, their lungs or other breathing organs get punctured, filled with water and the creature is now drowning. If the creature succeeds or can breathe under water this has no effect.
Proficiency with a Spear allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
