Weapon (glaive), rare (requires attunement)

A majestic glaive forged from moonlit silver and abyssal coral, glowing with a faint ethereal light. The crescent blade shimmers like ocean water at night, with drifting spectral mist curling off its edge. The haft is wrapped in dark kelp-fiber cords, adorned with carved barnacle-like runes and embedded pearls. A translucent glow flows through veins in the blade like bioluminescent algae, and ghostly echoes of deep-sea creatures seem to flicker in the metal. The weapon looks ancient, sacred, and touched by the drowned dead.

Properties

  • You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.

  • Deepflow (Enhanced). You gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed, and you ignore all underwater movement penalties and visibility issues within 30 feet.

  • Breath of the Abyss. While attuned, you can breathe both air and water, and you are immune to water pressure damage at any depth.

Task to Become Very Rare: “Sing the Whale’s Lament”

To fully awaken Tidepiercer's deeper magic, the wielder must seek out the Grave Choir, a pod of enormous spectral whales that haunt the ocean’s edge where the Material Plane meets the Elemental Plane of Water. There, amid the drifting bones of titanic sea beasts, the wielder must use Tidepiercer to harmonize with the whales’ death-song — a haunting melody that calls the ancient sea spirits. Success requires standing in still reverence until the song completes. Failure may provoke the ire of the drowned.

Proficiency with a Glaive allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
