This greatsword is made of matte grey metal with eldritch symbols engraved along its edge and a small slit parting the blade in the middle. While wielding the sword, out of the slit and symbols is pouring a thin layer of mist that falls to the ground and partially surrounds the wielders forearm. The weapons hilt is simple, made of pale navy blue stone wrapped in cloths that hang down from the hilt. In the middle of its crossguard is engraved an eye, a symbol of The Eyes of The Mist, with a pale white clouded mineral as the iris.
You gain the following benefits while you are attuned to and wielding The Whispering Edge:
You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with The Whispering Edge.
The Whispering Edge has 4 charges for the following properties. You regain 1d4+1 charges for each hour the blade stays unmoving in the Mist to a maximum of 6.
Mistwalker. (2 charges) You can use your bonus action to cast modified version of Misty Step spell. When you cast the spell, you teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space that you can see. You can bring one creature of your size or smaller with you. The creature must be within 5 feet of you when you use this trait.
Invoke the Mist. (1 charge) As a bonus action you can create a 10-foot-radius sphere of thick mist centered on the blade. The mist spreads around corners and its area is heavily obscured. It last for 10 minutes or until it is dismissed. You can see normally through the mist and while you are in it you gain darkvision up to 60 feet.
Pallid Seeker. (2 charges) You can use your action to track a creature using the Mist. You must be able to clearly visualise the creature in order to track it and both the creature and you must be in the Mist when using this trait. The creature must make an Intelligence saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier). On a failure, you know the direction and distance the creature is from you for 10 minutes and you can also track its exact trail through the mist if you make a successful DC 10 Survival check. On a success the creature knows it was being tracked and the effect fails.
Beckoning Blade. (1 charge) When you use your action to cast a spell or a cantrip you can make one weapon attack as a bonus action.
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
