A magically crafted and infused divination medallion worn by a Witcher to aid them in their battles against monsters. This artifact power comes from the silver mixed in the alloys to make the medallion itself. As a standard Witcher Medallion is needed to make this artifact, it has the base properties of one, alongside four additional features.
Base Abilities:
- Detect Magic and Evil: This medallion was made on the equinox nearby a place of power, allowing the medallion to become sensitive to the ebb and flow of the weave. Evil energies emit a special signature that this medallion is also sensitive to. If any magic or evil comes within 120ft, the medallion begins to vibrate at intensities based on the relative proximity of the source of the disturbance.
Artifact Primary Properties:
- Danger Sense: This Medallion allows the wearer an uncanny sense of when things nearby aren't as they should be, giving them an edge when they dodge away from danger. The wearer's sense of smell is heightened and their fight or flight reflexes are more capable when in the presence of danger. As a result, the wearer of this medallion gains the Alert Feat (if they don't already have it) or a +5 to their initiative upon entering combat (If they already possess the Alert feat). The wearer also has advantage on dexterity saving throws against all effects they can see, such as traps and spells. To gain this benefit, however, the wearer cannot be Blinded, Deafened, or Incapacitated.
- Signs from the Weave: The magical alloy this medallion is made from is highly attuned to the weave, allowing the wearer to both cast witcher signs without consuming sign charges and deal 2 extra damage dice for every damaging witcher sign that is cast. If this medallion is removed against the wearer's will, however, while they are not Incapacitated, the wearer loses their access to casting Witcher Signs until they come into contact with this medallion again or take a long rest.
- Guild Master's Badge: This medallion's intent is to be worn by a Witcher, the veritable master of monster slaying. As a result of those who wear this amulet in battle, the symbol becomes legendary, commanding respect from those who come into contact with the wearer of this medallion. The wearer gets the use of the permanceny spells Dominate Person and Dominate Monster. Upon using these abilities, apply the wearer's Intimidation Modifier to the Save DC and remove the need for concentration, intead making the ability only last for 15 minutes. These abilities manifest not as magic but as forceful commands the wearer of this medallion can perform.
- Arcanist's Focus: The connection to the weave makes this medallion function like a contact device and magical focus. While this amulet is worn, the wearer gains access to the permanency spell Telepathy, as well as providing the wearer with advantage on saving throws against spells and advantage on Intelligence and Wisdom checks.
