A weapon with scarce history, but many practical purposes. Composed of two carved wooden wheels held together by a wide dowel. A length of tightly wound cord wrapped around the dowel and hooked blades embedded around each wheel’s curvature. Each blade has a hollowed interior for depositing poison. Used by tying the end of yarn to the wielder’s finger and flung towards the target in an arching motion.
Soaring Strike
Launching this weapon at a target within range (20ft/60ft) deals 2d4 slashing damage. Poison can also be deposited into each blade's hollow core. As a free action, this weapon can be recoiled back to its wielder using the momentum of the initial launch.
Entanglement
By purposefully overshooting the distance to reach the target causes this weapon's cord length to wrap around the target, blades hooking into clothing or skin and dealing 2d4 piercing damage. The target is then considered restrained. As a bonus action, the wielder can pull the cord taught to deal 1 point of damage for loss of blood circulation (does not apply to creatures without blood i.e. Constructs, Elementals, Undead, etc) for each round of combat. However, while the entanglement is maintained, the wielder can only use one-handed attacks or spells. Additionally, this weapon cannot be used for the rest of the combat's duration unless the wielder chooses to rewind the cord as an action.
Proficiency with a Dagger allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
