Weapon (longbow), legendary (requires attunement)

Carved from the blackened heartwood of a graveyard yew, this bow was once wielded by a hunter cursed to walk between life and death. Each arrow carries a fragment of that curse, striking with necrotic force. The bow’s string hums with whispers of what will be, granting its wielder fleeting glimpses of the future.

Dormant
  • +1 longbow.
  • Arrows fired from this bow count as magical.
  • Undead or fiends hit take an additional 1d6 necrotic damage.
  • “Death’s Eye”: Once per long rest, before making an attack, you may gain advantage on the roll as your vision briefly pierces into the creature’s movements.
Awakened
  • +2 longbow.
  • “Grave’s Insight”: You can add your Wisdom modifier to initiative checks.
  • Once per short rest, you can invoke Withered Sight: For 1 minute, you can see 10 seconds into the future. Mechanically, you may reroll one d20 roll per round (yours or an ally’s within 30 ft.), but must take the second result.
  • Necrotic damage on undead/fiends increases to 2d6.

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
